ARP [N-(Aminooxyacetyl)-N'-(D-biotinoyl) hydrazine, trifluoroacetic acid salt] is a biotinylating reagent for carbohydrates and nucleic acids. ARP (Aldehyde-Reactive Probe) reacts with exposed aldehyde groups formed in damaged DNA. The biotins bound to these sites can then be quantitated with fluorescent or enzyme-conjugated streptavidin complexes.
